DISCLOSURE OF INTERESTS
(Agenda Item 3)
There were no interests raised under this heading.
RENEWAL OF ANNUAL PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE – THE THREE LIONS PUBLIC HOUSE, FARNCOMBE
RESOLVED that the public entertainment licences for the Three Lions Public House, Farncombe be renewed for the second half of the licensing year (i.e. from 1st May to 31st October 2003) subject to conditions, to include those additional conditions imposed in October 2002 in the light of complaints received at that time.
APPLICATION FOR FULL LICENCE TO OPERATE A RIDING ESTABLISHMENT – OLD PARK STABLES, FARNHAM
RESOLVED that a full licence to operate a riding establishment be granted to Mr Carl Belson in respect of Old Park Stables, Old Park Lane, Farnham.
CRIMINAL RECORDS BUREAU – USE OF SHARED DISCLOSURES WITH ADJOINING COUNTY COUNCILS
RESOLVED that officers accept a Surrey County Council (or Hampshire or West Sussex CC) enhanced disclosure on an applicant for a Hackney Carriage or Private Hire Driver or Operator licence, provided that
1. the application is a renewal and there is an existing historical record, and where the applicant has had no previous convictions (revealed by earlier checks) or, if there were, these should have been a minimum of ten years previously;
2. the latest CRB disclosure effected by the other relevant local authority has been made within the previous three months; and
3. the County Council (or other local authority) confirm that they have received the corresponding enhanced CRB disclosure copy.

RESOLVED that the action taken by the Chief Executive after consultation with the Chairman and Vice-Chairman since its last meeting, be noted.
EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

RESOLVED that pursuant to Procedure Rule 20 and in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item on the grounds that it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during the item, there would be disclosure to them of exempt information (as defined by Section 100I of the Act) of the description specified in Paragraph 4 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act, namely:-
Information relating to any particular applicant for, or recipient or former recipient of, any service provided by the authority.

Having given consideration to the details set out in the report and interviewing the applicant, the Committee
RESOLVED that Mr J P R be regarded as a fit and proper person to hold a hackney carriage/private hire driver's licence and that the licence applied for be granted.
