A.
TERMS OF REFERENCE
The revised Terms of Reference of the SIG were received and amended as attached as
Annexe 1
.
Recommendation
1. The Executive is recommended to adopt the Terms of Reference for the current stage of the SIG’s work.
B.
TRICKLE TRANSFER OF COUNCIL HOUSING
B.1 The SIG received the report at
Annexe 2
proposing that the Council should adopt a programme of Trickle Transfer of void Council homes each year to Registered Social Landlords.
Recommendation
2. The Executive is asked to consider Trickle Transfer and
a. grant permission for the Director of Housing to authorise the transfer of up to 20 void dwellings per annum, which would cost more than £20,000 to bring into lettable condition, under a Trickle Transfer programme;
b. invite Downland Housing Association and English Rural Housing Association to make proposals, as detailed in paragraph 13, to receive transferred properties in exchange for nomination rights; and
c. consider a review of this programme during the financial year 2007/08.
