MINUTES of the MEETING of the WESTERN AREA DEVELOPMENT CONTROL SUB-COMMITTEE held on 31st October 2001

49. MINUTES

The Minutes of the Meeting held on 3rd October 2001 were confirmed and signed.

50. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE AND SUBSTITUTIONS (Agenda Item 2)

Apologies for absence were received from Mrs P M Frost and Dr R A Thomas.

51. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY AND OTHER INTERESTS (Agenda Item 3)
52. APPLICATIONS FOR PLANNING PERMISSION (Agenda Item 5)

RESOLVED that applications for planning permission, as set out in the Schedule attached, be determined as shown in column 3 thereof and that the decisions of the Director of Planning and Development, set out in Schedule C to the agenda, be noted..

RESOLVED that the report be noted.




54. ENFORCEMENT ACTION – CURRENT SITUATION (Agenda Item 7)

RESOLVED that the report be noted.

55. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

RESOLVED that pursuant to Standing Order 48(4) and in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded during the meeting during consideration of the following item on the grounds that it is likely, in view of the nature of the business transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during the item there would be disclosure to them of exempt information (as defined by Section 100I of the Act) of the description specified in Paragraph 13 of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972; viz:-

56. ENFORCEMENT ACTION –ST GEORGES ROAD, RUNFOLD, FARNHAM ((Exempt) Appendix A)
1. the cessation of the use of the land for the siting of a mobile home; and

2. the demolition of the dog kennels, shed and stables and removal from the site of all resultant material.

The period for compliance with the notice to be six months.

The reasons for taking the action to be:

1. Standard Countryside Beyond the Green Belt (R1.2)

2. Standard Farnham/Aldershot Strategic Group (R1.6) *(delete reference to Structure Plan Policy PE5 and Deposit Draft Structure Plan Policy LO11)

3. The unauthorised development has a seriously detrimental impact on the character and appearance of this sensitive rural area. It does not, therefore, accord with the policies referred to in reasons one and two above, nor does it accord with Policy H11 of the Waverley Borough Replacement Local Plan.
