To elect the Vice-Chairman of the Committee for the Council year 2005/06.

To confirm the Minutes of the Meeting held on 14th March 2005 (to be laid on the table half an hour before the meeting).

To receive apologies for absence and to report any substitutions.

The Chairman to respond to any questions received from members of the public of which notice has been duly given in accordance with Procedure Rule 10.

FORWARD WORK PROGRAMME

7. EXECUTIVE FOUR-MONTH ROLLING PROGRAMME

To receive an updated Four-Month Rolling Programme of key decisions, which was considered by the Executive at its meeting on 17th May 2005, attached as Appendix A, and to identify any issues which the Committee would wish to have sight of before they are considered by the Executive.

8. COMMITTEE WORK PROGRAMME: IN-DEPTH REVIEWS

8.1 Work Programme

It was agreed at the meeting on 14th March 2005 that the items to be included on the work programme for 2005/06 for in-depth reviews would be:-

(i) Exploring current issues regarding mobile phone technology;
(ii) Surrey County Council Highways Department input into development control decisions; and

8.2 Exploring current issues regarding mobile phone technology

Recommendation

It is recommended that:-

1. the Committee agree to undertake an in-depth review exploring current issues regarding mobile phone technology with a view to informing the Council as land owner and planning authority; and

2. that the review be conducted in accordance with the process and timetable set out in the report.

9. LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK - CORE STRATEGY

It is recommended that:

10. PROPOSED EXTENSION TO THE HASLEMERE CONSERVATION AREA.
[Ward Affected: Haslemere East and Grayswood]

Recommendation

That the Committee endorse the proposal to go out to public consultation


11. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

That, pursuant to Procedure Rule 20, and in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item on the grounds that it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during this item there would be disclosure to them of exempt information (as defined by Section 100I of the Act) of the description specified in the appropriate paragraph(s) of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Act (to be identified, as necessary, at the meeting).
