ACTION TAKEN SINCE LAST MEETING
(Agenda Item 4)
The Sub-Committee noted the action taken by the Head of Paid Service in consultation with the Chairman and Vice-Chairman, in granting a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s licence without the need to refer the application to the Licensing (General Purposes) Sub-Committee, the reason for this being that the applicant’s conduct did not indicate any need for further consideration of the convictions.

RESOLVED that pursuant to Procedure Rule 20 and in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items on the grounds that it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during the items, there would be disclosure to them of exempt information (as defined by Section 100I of the Act) of the description specified in paragraph 1 of the revised Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act in respect of the following item:-

APPLICATION FOR HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DRIVER’S LICENCE

Having given consideration to the details set out in the report and interviewing the applicant, the Sub-Committee
RESOLVED that Mr P G be regarding as a fit and proper person to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence and that the licence applied for be granted.
The meeting commenced at 9.23 p.m. and concluded at 10.08 p.m.
