REPORT TO THE MEETING OF THE LICENSING AND REGULATORY COMMITTEE
ON 11TH APRIL 2005


Note pursuant to Section 100B(5) of the Local Government Act 1972

A. AMUSEMENTS WITH PRIZES – APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR GAMING MACHINE – SULTAN, 28B DOWNING STREET, FARNHAM

B. LICENCE FOR BREEDING OF DOGS AND TO KEEP A PET SHOP – WATERSHIP COTTAGE, BADSHOT FARM LANE, FARNHAM
[Ward Affected: Farnham Weybourne and Badshot Lea]

Your Sub-Committee has considered an application for a Licence for the Breeding of Dogs and a Licence for the Keeping of a Pet Shop at Watership Cottage, Badshot Farm Lane, Farnham (property also known as “That’ll do”). It has granted a licence to Mrs Michelle Potter for the breeding of dogs, with the restriction that the applicant keeps no more than eight breeding bitches and no more than four different breeds of dog.

Your Sub-Committee also granted a licence to Mrs Michelle Potter for the keeping of a pet shop, subject to obtaining planning permission, for the sale of puppies at the premises. The licence will also be subject to standard conditions and any special conditions your officers think reasonable.

C. ACTION TAKEN SINCE LAST MEETING

The action taken by the Chief Executive as set out in the agenda for the meeting held on 8th March 2005 has been noted.

D. APPLICATION FOR HACKNEY CARRIAGE/PRIVATE HIRE DRIVER'S LICENCE
[Wards Affected: N/A]

Your Sub-Committee considered, with the press and public excluded, an application for a hackney carriage/private hire driver's licence. During consideration of the application in exempt session, your Sub-Committee received advice on the matter from the Solicitor to the Council and after interviewing the applicant, your Sub-Committee has granted this licence.
