To confirm the Minutes of the Meeting held on 19th June 2007 (to be laid on the table half an hour before the meeting).

3. DISCLOSURE OF INTERESTS

CALL-IN ITEM

The following item was considered by the Executive at its meeting on 10th July 2007. Four councillors, identified below, have since requested that they would like to scrutinise the following decision taken at that meeting:-

Cllrs Dr N J Lee, J H B Edwards, A Wilson and Mrs J I Arrick.

4. MUSEUM OF FARNHAM GARDEN CLASSROOM
[Wards Affected: All Farnham Wards]

Attached at Appendix A is the report which was considered by the Executive on 10th July 2007. As supporting background information, attached at Appendix B is an earlier report considered by the Executive on 9th November 2006. An explanatory note to assist the call-in discussion is currently being prepared by officers and will follow as Appendix C.

The decision of the Executive was as follows:-

RESOLVED that a grant of 25,000 from the 2007/8 Community Partnership Fund be earmarked as a contribution.

Recommendation

It is now for this Committee to review the decision taken and agree any observations. As a suggested framework, these observations could take one of the following broad forms:-

(a) to endorse the Executive's decision;

(c) to propose an alternative course of action, which could be not to implement the original course of action.

5. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

That, pursuant to Procedure Rule 20, and in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item on the grounds that it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during this item there would be disclosure to them of exempt information (as defined by Section 100I of the Act) of the description specified in the appropriate paragraph(s) of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Act (to be identified, as necessary, at the meeting).

6. ANY OTHER ISSUES TO BE CONSIDERED IN EXEMPT SESSION

To consider matters (if any) relating to aspects of any reports on this agenda which, it is felt, may need to be considered in Exempt session.
