FORWARD WORK PROGRAMME

4. EXECUTIVE FOUR-MONTH ROLLING PROGRAMME

To receive an updated Four-Month Rolling Programme of key decisions, which was considered by the Executive at its meeting on 8th November 2005, attached as Appendix A.

5. COMMITTEE WORK PROGRAMME: IN-DEPTH REVIEWS
[Wards Affected: N/A]
5.1 Work Programme

It was agreed at the meeting on 14th March 2005 that the items to be included on the work programme for 2005/06 for in-depth reviews would be:-
(ii) Surrey County Council Highways Department input into development control decisions. [Note: The Modernising Planning SIG has also expressed an interest in this issue and would like an opportunity to be involved in the review].
(iii) Haslemere Museum - (Reserve item)


5.2 Exploring current issues regarding mobile phone technology

6. FARNHAM urban safety management
[Wards Affected: ALL]

The report attached at Appendix B describes Farnham Town Council’s Farnham Sustainability Town Initiative Feasibility Study to examine the traffic problems of Farnham town centre and to produce proposals for solving the problems.

7. DRAFT 2006/7 CAPITAL PROGRAMME

The report at Appendix C puts forward proposals for the draft 2006/2007 Three-Year Capital Programme in respect of the General Fund services within the remit of this Committee. The views of the Committee are sought, particularly regarding schemes within the draft 2006/2007 Programme.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee inform the Executive of its views on the draft Capital Programme for the services within its remit, including any relative priorities it would wish to see attached to specific schemes.

8. 2006/7 DRAFT GENERAL FUND REVENUE ESTIMATES

The purpose of the report at Appendix D is to seek this committee’s views on the draft Revenue Estimates for the services within its remit.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee inform the Executive of its views on the draft Revenue Estimates for the services within its remit.


SCRUTINY ISSUES

9. POSSIBLE SCRUTINY REVIEW - EFFECTS OF THE LICENSING ACT 2003 ON WAVERLEY'S TOWN CENTRES

An oral report on the possibility of a Scrutiny Review in 2006/7 on the effects on the Licensing Act 2003 on Waverley’s town centres.

Recommendation

To note the report.

The report at Appendix G presents the draft Local Development Framework Annual Monitoring Report which is presented for consideration, prior to its submission to the Government Office of the South East.

That, pursuant to Procedure Rule 20, and in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item on the grounds that it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during this item there would be disclosure to them of exempt information (as defined by Section 100I of the Act) of the description specified in the appropriate paragraph(s) of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Act (to be identified, as necessary, at the meeting).
