      1. Local Development Framework
Revised Local Development Scheme including timetable for revised Core Strategy agreed by the Executive in November. Awaiting approval from GOSE.

2. South East Plan and Western CorridorPart I of South East Plan was submitted in July 2005. Part II, which includes the Sub-Regional Strategies and the District Housing Allocations was submitted on 31st March 2006. The Examination in Public commenced on 28th November and ended on 30th March 2007.The report of the EiP Panel was published in August 2007. Awaiting report from Secretary of State setting out proposed changes to the South East Plan.

On hold until Core Strategy completed. (South East Plan Panel’s recent report did not support the concept of a Dunsfold settlement).

      5. Waste & Recycling, and Climate change
A Waste Management Seminar for Members has been arranged for 5th September 2007. A Recycling Newsletter has been distributed to residents of Waverley about the Council’s Waste and Recycling Services. Detailed report expected in March 2008 and PH will give regular updates to ELOS.

      9. Leisure Centre Procurement Strategy
Council agreed in July to enter into a 15-year management contract to include basic refurbishment of Godalming and Farnham Sports Centres commencing July 2008, subject to satisfactory terms and conditions being agreed. Officers were also instructed to investigate the capital improvement options with DCL, focussing on those that could be delivered on a cost neutral basis (or better) and which facilities Members consider to be the highest priority and to report back to Council in due course
