19. EXECUTIVE FOUR MONTH ROLLING PROGRAMME (Agenda Item 6.0)

20. COMMITTEE WORK PROGRAMME IN DEPTH REVIEWS (Agenda Item 7.1)

a mapping system had been created with an overlay showing all masts in the Borough, for use by officers and members of the public;
Planning Officers had written to the Department for Communities and Local Government asking for further consideration of the impact on mobile phone masts on health, and further guidance for planning authorities;
officers had also written to the LGA about the review of telecommunication masts; and
an annual forum would be arranged to explore the issue of roll out plans, with the first forum taking place in November. 21. SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL HIGHWAYS DEPARTMENT INPUT INTO DEVELOPMENT CONTROL DECISIONS – SCOPING REPORT (Agenda Item 7.2)

22. 2006/7 IN DEPTH REVIEWS (Item 7.3)

RESOLVED that the Committee focus on completing the Surrey County Council Highways Review and that the Haslemere Museum Review should be the main in-depth review in 2006/7 and that the reserve item for 2006/7 should be The Olympics in 2012 and its impact on Waverley.

23. NEW STREET LIGHTING IN SURREY (Agenda Item 8)

RESOLVED that

1) the Committee defer consideration of the item until officers have gathered more information about the implications of the PFI contract for heritage lighting; and
2) officers advise Surrey of Members’ general support for energy efficient or solar powered lighting and for minimal pollution lighting.

24. CLIMATE CHANGE (Agenda Item 9)

1) the Nottingham Declaration on Climate Change be signed by Waverley;
2) the Climate Change Action Plan be adopted;
3) officers write to the Secretary of State asking her to encourage DEFRA and other Government departments to take more positive action to address the effects of climate change; and
4) request officers to produce a further updated Action Plan in 12-18 months from the date of adoption of the plan, and give brief situation reports when appropriate at future meetings.
