DRAFT SURREY MINERALS PLAN
It was agreed that the County Council be advised that the Borough Council objects to the Minerals Plan for the reasons set out in the report, namely:-
1. No standard standoff boundaries have been included and no minimum distance has been included.
2. There is no safeguarding for rail depots.
3. The selection of sites where local residents would be adversely affected does not reflect Policy MC7 in the Plan that seeks to minimise the impacts on communities and the environment.
4. There are objections to Monkton Lane, Farnham and Runfold South, Farnham being included as sites.
5. The Council will object to the Eashing Farm site if the traffic is not directed onto the A3 and physically excluded from local Waverley roads.
6. The Council objects strongly to the Eashing farm site until the County Council has satisfied itself that there will be no harmful impact on residential property by reason of noise and fine dust affecting the health of residents.
7. The need for Bargate stone is questioned.
8. The County should be advised that the local Hurtmore/Peper Harow community feel that the consultation was inadequate.
9. Waverley wishes to be kept informed of the progress on the plan and the process to be carried out.
10. There is concern that there will be an adverse effect on the River Wey from pollution.
